Paraffin Therapy

Paraffin therapy is locally used on hands and feet to help with arthritis pain and stiffness, to increase blood flow and relaxations of tight muscles in these regions. It involves dipping the hands or feet into a molten paraffin bath, letting the applied paraffin layer to solidify and quickly repeat the process until a thick layer of paraffin surrounds the extremity being treated. The hands or the feet are then covered by plastic and placed in mittens to keep the heat in.
